About Freedom Leather Creations:
Proudly presenting hand tooled leather creations from the PNW!
About Me:
I first started tooling leather as my high school project. But I quickly became discouraged by how many different processes there are. I had purchased a Tandy Leather beginners kit at our local Horse Expo, and used every piece it came with. I then moved on to using old hides to make halters and charms for saddles. Eventually I ran out of leather, and life moved on. I picked it up again in 2021 to utilize extra hides, and I have not stopped since. I have grown so very much as an artist, a craftsman, and a person as a result.
It can be hard to find custom leather wearables, especially in the PNW. I wanted to create unique pieces that honor the amazing place we live in, and that can withstand the daily use of the cool people who live here. I focus the majority of my artwork on the wildlife & scenery we are so blessed to live with. I enjoy traditional tooling as well, and I love to combine my personal interests with traditional tooling.
I do a few market style shows in the summertime, and work on custom orders, website stock, and new designs in the winter months. I have the most amazing customers who keep me going, and I greatly appreciate all of you!
About the Leather:
Every item that comes out of my shop is hand crafted using Hermann Oak Leather. I have found that this leather outlasts & out-performs every other leather I have used. Each item is entirely handmade, from the artwork and tooling to the coloring and sewing. It truly is a labor of love.
I am a solo operation, so your patience is appreciated. If you do not see what you need in the shop, please feel free to reach out about a custom order!
